Arts in Education
Darke County Center for the Arts' Arts in Education program delivers professional live performances directly to every public school student in Darke County, offering enriching experiences that support and enhance classroom learning. These performances are thoughtfully chosen to connect with academic subjects like history, literature, and social studies, while also fostering important skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and communication.

Educational research shows that exposure to the arts boosts student engagement, improves academic performance, and strengthens social-emotional development. For many students, this may be their first experience with live professional arts, opening doors to new ideas and talents. By integrating the performing arts into education, the AIE program helps students grow intellectually and personally, creating lasting impacts that extend far beyond the stage.
